Smithlist Services
I have been trying to figure out how to make sure I can l can keep Smithlist free across all of its services (listings, marketplace, auctions, tickets etc). It was built to help the smithing community. That being said, as I have added features to it, it becomes more expensive in both time and money to run, so….
What I have decided to do is offer a few side services that I think will also benefit the community and at the same time help pay the bills.
Branded Email
I have noticed that many smiths, schools, and suppliers are not using branded email, instead using gmail, hotmail etc.
In the business world, first impressions matter, and your email address is often the first point of contact with customers, other smiths, and suppliers. Using a branded email address, such as “name@yourcompany.com,” instantly elevates the perception of your professionalism and credibility compared to a generic Gmail or Yahoo address.
A branded email not only reflects the identity of your company but also serves as a marketing tool. Each email sent becomes an opportunity to promote your name.
It is a small but important thing to consider, it is a cheap and easy way to benefit your shop or business.
Cost: $25/yr (USD), this gives you two email addresses with a total of 15 GB of space.
Note: This is the cost if you already have a domain, if you do not have a domain you will need to pick one. Go to https://namesilo.com and search for domains that you are interested in.
When you find the one you want you can either purchase it, or you can tell me which one you want and I will purchase it for you.
Domain cost depending on the extension can vary greatly so make sure to have a look at the list when you search to find one that appeals to you visually and your wallet.

Website | Online Store
Smithlist already offers you most of what you could want to do with your own website or online store, BUT, it is still important to have your own personalized web presence, if you want to take your shop to another level.
Actively using Smithlist, as well as having your own site is going to bring you much more recognition, and customers.
How Does It Work
My goal with this is to make it as easy and cheap as possible for you to have your own site and if you wish store. You provide me with a little information and I make it happen, I take care of everything including the hosting.
Costs are dependent on the site design, if it includes a store, if you want me to add products, etc.
A basic site with no store starts at $150 and go up from there. Hosting costs $50/yr (USD).
A website + a store starts at $300 and goes up from there. Hosting costs $60/yr (USD).
Keep in mind that if you do not have a domain, you will need one, they can cost anywhere from $5/yr up to $50+ a year depending on the extension.
If you have an existing site that runs on WordPress and you want m to host it I can migrate it over for you fre of charge.
